Your new role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Project Co-ordinator to join our Northampton Schools account in Northampton, this role will be based on-site.

The hours for this role are 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday.

Amey delivers facilities and estate management services to the Northampton Schools Private Finance Initiative across an estate of 43 schools (5 secondary, 1 SEN and 37 primary).

We work in partnership with our clients and end-users to ensure our 24/7 services are delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day-to-day operational requirements of the schools.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working as a key part of the Lifecycle and Projects team delivering planned Lifecycle and client funded (School Change) projects
  • Coordinate project meetings, record and follow-up resulting actions, control update and amend project logs
  • Preparation and coordination of project delivery mobilisation documentation including work instructions, health & safety plans and access packs
  • Preparation and coordination of the project close out documentation for client approvals and internal processes
  • Management of the School Change project schedules and associated internal and client liaison
  • Be responsible, directly and/or indirectly, for conducting post implementation of supplier reviews and audits in pursuit of continuous improvement
  • Negotiate with and positively influencing customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Act decisively to rectify any adverse circumstances that threaten the delivery of the agreed programme
  • Maximise operating efficiency, reducing waste, maximising margins and implementing agreed changes when opportunities arise
  • Establish and actively manage client and stakeholder relationships
  • Manage the production and storage of project documentation in order to effectively document, manage, monitor and report on allocated projects
  • Undertake any other reasonable task as requested

We want to hear from you if you are:

  • Experienced coordinating and successfully supporting projects with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience of working successfully in a diverse team in a matrix environment
  • A high level of expertise in the use of software applications such as MS Project, MS Visio, MSWord, MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Project Management terminology
  • Basic Financial and Commercial terminology
  • Able to successfully set-up and run a project office
