The Training Dog Support Coordinator helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose by managing and providing ongoing support to volunteers responsible for caring for our dogs in training when not on site, in line with positive reinforcement techniques, Standardised Training for Excellent Partnership methodology as required.
This role will be based on site at our Leamington office, working closely with a team of guide dog trainers. You'll be working 35 hours per week, worked 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Candidate profile
To be able to fulfil this role, the skills and experience we are looking for in a potential candidate include;
Essential
- GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above, or equivalent qualifications OR extensive work experience that demonstrates the ability to undertake the requirements of the role.
- Previous experience of co-ordinating and managing volunteers.
- Experience of working with people in a customer-service related field.
- Experience working with CRM databases and maintaining accurate records.
- Experienced in providing coaching, training and mentoring through various platforms (in person, on phone, on video conference).
- Knowledge of the benefits of working with volunteers and how to keep them engaged with their charity work
- Able to demonstrate basic knowledge of the application of animal behaviour and positive reinforcement training.
- Experience in using CRM databases.
- Competent in Microsoft package of computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Competent in using CRM database and pulling/building report
- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully both verbally and in writing.
- Proven ability to plan and organises own workload.
