Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled and versatile IT professional to become a valuable member of our forward-thinking Group IT team. You will play a key role in supporting over 400 users across multiple sites.
Reporting directly to the IT Support Manager, you will ensure our ITIL-based IT Service Desk consistently delivers exceptional service. Responsibilities include managing incidents and issues, as well as leading and participating in various IT projects as needed.
We are looking for someone who can
- Ensure incidents and service requests raised in the IT Service Desk are completed within agreed SLA's
- Liaise with Group IT operational capabilities (Digital Infrastructure, Cyber Security & Networks and Business Information), passing incidents, acting upon instructions from capability owners and following up as necessary
- Creation of procedures, processes, and technical instructions
- Ensure IT asset inventories (hardware & software) are correctly maintained
- Undertake daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks
- Undertake projects from the IT Support Manager and Head of Group IT as required
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of current Windows desktop and server operating systems
- Understanding of virtualisation technologies including Microsoft Azure technologies
- Good knowledge of Active Directory administration and group policies
- Good knowledge of Office 365 applications and ecosystems
- Good knowledge of current macOS operating systems
- Understanding of network infrastructures, firewall technologies and MFA technologies
- Understanding of system patching & application management technologies (Intune & Jamf)
- Good knowledge of backup technologies (both physical and virtual)
- Good knowledge of Apple devices
It would also be beneficial, but not essential to be/have
- A full, clean driving license is desirable but not essential
- Flexibility to cover support rota 8am to 5pm Mon Fri with occasional out of hours working by prior arrangement where possible
- Must be willing to travel to other office locations (including limited international travel)
- Must be willing to undertake security clearance
This role is available for people with prior experience but we would also consider having a conversation around apprenticeships for someone looking to learn on the job.
