Have you left school and are now looking for an Apprenticeship that will take you into the world of finance? Do you have a keen interest in mathematics and think a career working with numbers is for you? If so, we may have a fantastic role for you.

We're recruiting an Accounts Payable Apprentice to work in our Corporate Finance Team, working alongside our wonderful finance department, you will work with our supplier invoice system, speak with suppliers regularly to answer any queries and work on reconciliations. You will earn while you learn, the successful candidate will also complete an Accounts or Finance Apprenticeship which will last approximately 12 months, working with us 4 days per week and one study per week. This is an on-site role in Aylesford, Kent and we do require the successful candidate to work on-site, please consider your commute prior to completing your application.

Key duties

• Code supplier invoices and arrange signatories
• Ensure all supplier invoices are returned in a timely manner for processing
• Review supplier invoices for any non-standard VAT rates and confirm processing required with the Accounts Payable Supervisor
• Filing statements and supplier invoices
• Deal with a variety of supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
• Develop a though understanding of the risks of fraud and use all reasonable means to protect the business from financial and reputational loss

What we need from you

• GCSE in Maths and English (or equivalent)
• Great IT skills and familiar with Microsoft Office packages including basic Excel skills
• Proactive attitude and ability to work on own initiative
• Excellent organisational skills, time management and prioritisation
• Great attitude, eager to learn and driven to succeed
• Ability to commute to the office every day
