Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit an Outreach Practice Co-Ordinator to join our Digestive Diseases and Integrated Surgical Institute. This is a full-time role with the following shift patterns: Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00, including hybrid working. What makes us different? Reporting to the Institute Manager, you will provide administrative and organisational support to external and internal consultants, patients and external medical secretaries. As part of this exciting role, you will also perform a variety of duties to support consultants with the efficient and seamless transition of patients across to Cleveland Clinic London and will be responsible as the key liaison point for the coordination of patient appointments and activity relating to the patient visit. What will your duties include?
  • To act as the key point of contact for patients, consultants and referrers for the Institute. To organize and manage the smooth transition of existing patients under the care of named consultants across to the Cleveland Clinic London from their current practice.
  • To facilitate and organize the effective transfer of all patient documentation records such as patient care records, medical notes, correspondence and letters between consultants, clinicians and patients.
  • Resolve patient issues to ensure consistency in quality, procedure and policy application.
  • Serve as an administrative point of contact and act as a liaison between the patient and consultant. Supports the consultant and patient with queries relating to the patient treatment pathway. Work collaboratively with the patient access and business office teams and provide guidance to the patient as appropriate to facilitate a seamless patient journey.
  • Other duties assigned.
What we need from you?
  • Current experience in a coordinator or medical secretary role is essential.
  • Experience working in a private healthcare setting is essential.
  • Experience of using Electronic Medical Records Systems is essential.
  • Experience of private practice management software is desirable.
  • Medical terminology qualification (AMSPAR) is desirable.
