Reporting to the Property & Facilities Manager, this role is pivotal in our growth strategy and we need someone from a property helpdesk and retail background who is used to working in a dynamic and fast paced environment. This person will provide competent and efficient service to the stores and the property team as a whole.
Requirements
The Store Design Project Coordinator at Kurt Geiger will support the Property Project Manager and Head of Property & Store Design in executing new store openings, refurbishments, and relocations. This role involves coordinating various aspects of store development projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about retail design and development.
Project Coordination:
- Assist in the planning and execution of store design projects, including new openings, refurbishments, and relocations.
- Lead on shop-in-shop fit outs and minor works across a variety of locations.
- Coordinate with internal teams (visual merchandising, IT, finance, logistics and retail) and external vendors to facilitate project completion.
- Coordinate store closures
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain project documentation and folders, ensuring all files are saved down and organised for easy access and retrieval.
- Monitor project expenses and assist in budget management.
- Generate regular progress reports for the Property Project Manager and other stakeholders.
- Collate O&M information at the end of each project.
Supplier and Contractor Management:
- Assist in sourcing and managing suppliers and contractors for various project components.
- Monitor use of ‘stock' items, forecast requirements and ensure re-ordering within project timelines.
- Attend and contribute to site meetings and project handovers, both with other team members and independently.
- Assist the Property Project Manager to resolve snags and defects.
- Ensure all work is completed to Kurt Geiger's standards and within contractual agreements.
Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the Property team, including scheduling meetings and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Assist with the preparation of presentations and other communication materials.
- Manage project-related correspondence and documentation.
- Raise and log purchase orders (POs) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage invoice processing, liaising with Accounts Payable for payment and support suppliers with any invoice queries
- Manage and reconcile team expenses, ensuring all costs are tracked and documented appropriately.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- The ability to work on multiple and assorted projects simultaneously and independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
