Our Commercial team were ranked in Tier 1 in the prestigious Legal 500 Guide for 2022 and undertake a wide range of work. We are able to turn our hand to many different sectors and client types in a supported environment including; health, education, utilities, local authority, technology and franchising.

We are looking to hire a Senior Associate to be based in our Reading office. In the Thames Valley region we have offices in Reading and Oxford, and whilst the team base themselves out of Reading, working out of the Oxford office occasionally is also an option.

You will be advising on a wide range of commercial contracts including matters related to commercial trading agreements, IT contracts, outsourcing agreements, franchising, IP, manufacturing and data protection. You will be involved in drafting and negotiating contracts of various sizes and values and will be encouraged to act as an extension of our clients' in-house legal teams. From day 1, our lawyers are exposed to high quality work and client interface.

We are continuing to work flexibly between the office and home and so the need to be physically in the Reading office will not be full time and is something that will be agreed with you on a business need basis. You will be a core part of the team and able to access the technology, support and resources you require. You will have developed a good grounding in commercial law in your early career or be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in this practice. You will be comfortable drafting and negotiating contracts and keen to develop further your skills; carrying out legal research and due diligence; guiding clients through commercial challenges; developing client relationships and ensuring that we deliver solutions in line with our clients' aims. You must also be able to demonstrate:
