What we do.

In our Tilmanstone Salads site we produce first class Salad's products including leafy salad bags, leafy salad bowls, takeaway salad meals, prepared vegetables & side dishes for one of our most prestigious customers in our state-of-the-art-factory.

About the role.

We are looking for a Hygiene Section Leader to manage a section of the factory, reporting into the Hygiene Manager.

Job Accountabilities

  • Health & Safety: Lead by example by ensuring established standards of hygiene, quality and safety are met. Ensure that team members are wearing correct PPE.
  • Performance Management: Manage performance and attendance of the team including absence management, return to work procedures, disciplinaries, etc.
  • Quality Standards: Ensure shift audits are carried out daily; report deviations from acceptable standards during shift handovers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Ensure delivery of agreed KPIs within the area through the team. Identify resource requirements and escalate to Hygiene Managers.
  • Responsible for managing a team: Team communication, training, recruitment, coaching and online supervision, including RTWs.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • To be a positive and motivated team player that possesses strong leadership skills. The role requires you to pay attention to detail. Ideally you will have previous experience working within food manufacturing in a leadership role.
  • Strong people management and development skills, with the ability to lead by example with the highest level of attendance and timekeeping.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and to work in a fast paced and highly pressurized environment.
  • Good computer skills with app-based performance monitoring systems
  • Familiarity with food manufacturing environments
