About us:
At Little Street, we create magical moments for young children in our award-winning play centre, designed as a miniature town for imaginative play. Open 7 days a week, our leisure facilities provide a fun and educational play environment for families. We also have a small cafe onsite selling drinks and snacks.
The role:
We're looking for a Full-Time Play Centre Assistant Manager to join our enthusiastic and friendly team! You'll work four days during the week and one day on the weekend (from 08:45 to 18:00) and during school holidays.
We are conveniently located at the Riverhead roundabout with onsite parking. Also within walking distance of both Sevenoaks and Dunton Green train stations.
Key responsibilities:
- Warm Welcomes: Greeting and assisting our valued customers with a smile.
- Order Management: Take food and drink orders, making and serving hot & cold beverages.
- Engagement: Overseeing play while actively engaging with children to enhance their experience.
- Customer Support: Handle inquiries via email and telephone with professionalism and care.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Perform tidying and light cleaning duties to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Party Planning: Prepare for and oversee fun-filled birthday parties.
- Team Leadership: Open and close the centre in the Manager's absence and delegate tasks to junior team members effectively.
Skills & experience required:
- Outstanding Customer Service: A passion for providing exceptional service and creating positive experiences.
- Child-Centric Enthusiasm: A genuine love for working in an environment focused on children's growth and joy.
- Supervisory Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role is preferred.
- Basic IT Proficiency: Comfort with basic tasks using Microsoft Outlook and Word to assist in daily operations.
- Initiative: A proactive mindset and ability to work independently.
- Responsibility & Reliability: A dependable team player who takes ownership of their role.
