Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Audit Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a good auditing background with other accounting experience in financial reporting. The Audit Leader will take a pivotal role in the audit of clients and also provide financial insights, prepare complex accounts, and assist in the mentoring and development of our expanding audit and assurance team. The role is an excellent opportunity for career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

· Auditing:

  • Planning and executing audits for a varied client portfolio, ensuring compliance with UK auditing standards.
  • Conducting risk assessments and evaluating internal controls.
  • Keep up to date with changes in audit regulations and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.

· Financial Statements & Reporting:

  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP, or other relevant accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and deadlines for annual filings.
  • Keep up to date with changes in accounting standards to ensure ongoing compliance.

· Taxation and advisory:

  • Prepare and review corporate tax computations for clients.
  • Provide partner support in business advisory services, including structuring, and compliance advice.

· Team Leadership & Development:

  • Supervise and mentor junior members of the audit and assurance team to support their development and technical guidance to improve team performance.

· Systems & Process Improvement:

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and systems to enhance the efficiency of our audits and overall client service.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of client relationships.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Education:

  • Between final year and say 2-year PQE of ACA or ACCA (or equivalent). Qualified by experience candidates should also apply.

· Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
  • Proven ability to conduct audits as well as prepare and review financial statements in line with UK GAAP.
  • Experience supervising and mentoring junior auditors.
