An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic team on the Acute Stroke Unit at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals. We are looking for an enthusiastic and positive role model to help provide a high standard of care on our busy stroke unit. As a Clinical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing care and support to the ward, assisting patients with their daily needs and you will support the bleep holder within the emergency department, arranging CT scans, obtaining ECG's and monitoring our patients. Main duties will include: Venepuncture Cannulation ECG recording Baseline observations Urine sampling Record keeping Transfers Monitoring patients Catheterisation VBG testing Blood sugar monitoring Stocking and cleaning Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester.
