Role: General Assistant – Food & Beverage Location: Crosby Hourly Rate:£12.21 from 1st April** Contract: 8.75 hrs p/w Work Pattern: 11:45-14:15 Week 1 – Mon, Tues, Fri Week 2 – Tues, Sat (also 15:00-17:30), Sun The Abbeyfield Society are a national charity helping to alleviate loneliness and isolation in older people by providing companionship in our supported housing accommodation, retirement apartments and care homes. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who would be interested in joining our organisation, to support our Sheltered Housing property in Crosby. This is a varied role, with resident wellbeing at the forefront of what we do. The Role We are looking for a friendly and diligent individual to assist in our Crosby service at meal times. Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Preparation of beverages including a selection of hot drinks
  • Efficient serving of food and clearing of tables, ensuring the dining area and kitchen cleanliness is maintained
  • Management of dish washing area

Our ideal candidates for our Restaurant Staff will have the following qualities:

  • An excellent communicator, understanding the needs of older people
  • Active listening skills, to be thorough and pay attention to detail.
  • Able to lone work and collaborate with staff as one team
  • Proactive, organised, with great time management, taking pride in what you do
