OverviewWe are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests while leading and managing kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and menus.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock.
  • Collaborate with the hospitality team to develop seasonal menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
  • Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food preparation, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor kitchen performance, making adjustments as necessary to improve efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Proficient in various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for culinary arts and creativity in menu development.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
