Job Description :

Badger Badger, a new concept for West Norwood is a board game based pub with a Japanese street food restaurant, we are looking for an Head Chef to join the team as we seek to grow the business.

The Badger Badger food offer is Japanese/American fusion with a focus on live fuel Yakitori BBQ. Both street food and pub kitchen experience is desirable as we essentially offer a street food menu and service in a board game pub environment. Experience with live fuel is welcome.

Essentially we are looking for a professional and driven Head Chef to round out our technically strong management team.

This is the second venue for Novel pubs and a great opportunity to be part of a growing business.

What we need you to be able to deliver:

• Deliver our menus to the highest standards
• Support our exec chef in menu development
• Recruit and train necessary kitchen team
• Complete daily and weekly food safety and HACCP checks and processes
• Accurate and complete record keeping of daily and weekly food safety and HACCP checks and processes
• Complete regular stocktakes
• Ensure all orders placed in a timely manner
• Ensure all deliveries received correctly
• Ensure all order / delivery / invoice paperwork is correct and accurate
• Work closely with floor and general manager to identify and correct any service issues
• Maintain impeccable standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
• Write and deliver the rota.
