Job Responsibility:

Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Stonemason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and be proficient in working with various types of stone and brick materials. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Stonemason will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining stone structures, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications.

Duties

• Construct and repair stone structures such as kitchens, walls, patios, and pathways using various types of stone and brick.
• Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to shape and finish stone materials.
• Perform bricklaying tasks, ensuring precision in alignment and level.
• Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• CSCS CARD (REQUIRED)
• Proven experience in masonry or stonemasonry is essential.
• Proficiency in using power tools (e.g. saws, drills) and hand tools (e.g. chisels, trowels).
• Knowledge of bricklaying techniques and practices.
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and perform manual labour for extended periods.
• A valid driver's licence is preferred.
• The ability to commute to Cheshunt, Hertfordshire
