Shifts: Various Sheffield locations, full time, part time and night shifts available
Salary: £11.44-£12.00 per hour

This is an all women's house, which requires female support workers.
Key responsibilities:
The day-to-day job of a support worker differs depending on the needs of the person you are supporting. This can include helping people to carry out their daily tasks to take care of themselves, teaching new skills, providing emotional support, and ensuring they are living a fulfilled life.
The role is primarily focused on enabling and supporting people to live their lives as independently as they can. At Fortix, we support people with a diverse range of needs, including learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, addiction and mental health needs.
As a support worker, you may find yourself working in a number of settings, not just at our supported accommodation premises. You may be expected to work in people's homes, in health and social care settings and out in the community.
Support work involves helping people who require care and support to live as independently as they can.
Support work can offer a very fulfilling and varied career path.
There are certain skills that we require from you working as a support worker at Fortix for example:

Main duties:
Candidates must be experienced in drafting reports, exporting, and importing data to contribute to reports for funders.
There are many roles and responsibilities of a support worker, including:
- Providing physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care.
- Providing emotional support for an individual and their families.
- Supporting and helping with health care needs, including routine checks or administering medication.
- Encouraging and supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
- Teaching life skills, such as shopping, using public transport and paying for bills.
- Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet the highest possible standards.
Support workers also help the people they support to form meaningful connections. This could be by aiding them in their hobbies and interests, connecting them with suitable community groups, enabling them to attend college or encouraging them to develop a new life skill such as cooking or money management.To achieve this, understanding how the person communicates and their likes and dislikes is an important part of the job. Other duties may be required from time to time.
*Some of the individuals we support are relatively independent and only require assistance with daily activities. Others may need more support with personal care, medication, mobility, and behaviors in addition to daily tasks.

- NVQ or equivalent in Health and Social Care (desired)
- GCSE or equivalent in English or maths (desired)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
Relevant experience:
- One year experience in care sector (preferred)
