Job Responsibility:
Walker Group provides advanced high-precision manufacturing services from centres of excellence located in the UK and Poland. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in Glasgow as a Masking Operator.
Previous experience is not necessary as full training will be provided.
The Masking Operator will receive comprehensive in-house training in all aspects of masking for painting and anodising. Full competency may take up to one year to achieve, requiring dedication and patience throughout the training process.
Masking Operator Key Responsibilities:
- Produce components in line with delivery requirements against agreed schedules & cost
- Complete Job cards with all relevant details of process carried out
- Clean and maintain work areas
- Report equipment faults to maintenance staff
- Record & maintain work related data
- Pack goods, with protective materials
- Support team members as a part of team development and/or induction
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities
- Contribute to plans and forecasts within the work area
Masking Operator Skills & Behaviours:
- Must have a steady hand and keen eye for detail
- Collaborative attitude within the team
- Proactive with good time management
- Display a positive attitude and be resilient to setbacks
- Good written and verbal communication

- Full time, permanent contract, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Once fully trained, you'll move onto a two-shift rotation, covering early and backshifts
