Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Premises Manager to lead the maintenance and operational management of our vibrant restaurant and lounge, which serves alcohol in a dynamic hospitality environment. The successful candidate must hold a valid Personal Licence and be eligible to act as a Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS), with the willingness to be listed as the DPS on our premises license for a minimum of two years.

In addition to overseeing the physical upkeep of the premises, this role requires a high level of customer service, an understanding of licensing compliance, and the ability to lead a team effectively in a busy hospitality setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Designated Premises Supervisor, ensuring full compliance with the Licensing Act 2003 and all licensing conditions.
  • Supervise and manage the maintenance team to uphold cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the venue.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including PLCs (programmable logic controllers), HVAC systems, lighting, and kitchen equipment.
  • Interpret and apply schematics for installation, repair, and maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct regular health and safety inspections, ensuring all equipment and facilities meet required standards.
  • Perform or coordinate mechanical repairs, including welding and structural fixes as needed.
  • Maintain strong customer service focus, addressing feedback and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • Develop and adhere to maintenance schedules for all on-site equipment and systems.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance tasks, incidents, and regulatory compliance activities.

Experience and Requirements

  • Proven supervisory experience in facilities management, preferably in a hospitality or licensed premises setting.
  • Hands-on mechanical and electrical experience, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Comfortable working with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service skills and a guest-first mindset.
  • Valid Personal Licence and ability to be registered as a Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Strong proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £16.24-£17.72 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in London SW10 0AJ

Expected start date: 01/06/2025
