Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Team Leader to oversee Weekend operations in our vibrant café environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that our team delivers exceptional service to every customer. This role involves supervising staff, assisting with kitchen activities, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that reflects our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Supervise and support café staff, fostering a positive team environment.
• Ensure high standards of hospitality are maintained at all times.
• Occasionally assist with kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Assist in training new team members on café procedures and best practices.
• Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and care.
• Collaborate with management to develop menus and promotional activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café space, including dining areas and kitchen facilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a young team.
• Experience in kitchen operations, including cooking is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in bartending or hotel services is advantageous but not essential.
• A genuine passion for helping others and providing outstanding customer service.

Pay: £11.50-£13.00 per hour
