Leicester College is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual to join our team of Sports Coaching and Fitness Lecturers on a full-time, permanent basis at our Abbey Park Campus. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and develop the next generation of sports professionals.

We are specifically looking for a candidate with expertise in delivering full-time sports qualifications at levels 1 to 3, and a strong background in the sports, health, and fitness sectors. The ideal candidate will bring vocational experience from the sports industry and have a broad understanding of the different aspects of sport, health, and fitness, including fitness training, personal training, and anatomy and physiology

.

We are looking for someone who is adept at teaching diverse age groups and can tailor their approach to meet individual student needs. The ability to employ a range of teaching methods and engage students is key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:
You will deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across sports, health, and fitness topics, tailoring your approach to meet diverse student needs. Collaboration with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student support will be key. Essential skills include strong communication, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, excellent organisational abilities, and a passion for helping students achieve their potential.The Successful Candidate will have:

• A degree in a sport-related subject.

• Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English (or equivalent).

• Vocational experience in the sports industry and familiarity with a variety of sport, health, and fitness topics.

• Experience working with a wide range of age groups and adapting teaching to meet individual needs.

• A background in fitness, personal training, and anatomy and physiology is desirable.
