Hours of work: 28.3 (23.3 hours as INA and 5 hours as MSDA) Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39.5 weeks per year plus 12.5 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service) (As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata) Fixed term for: 1 Year

High Hurstwood CE Primary School is a popular school with an excellent reputation. We are a small and thriving rural school with just over 100 pupils, set in the village community of High Hurstwood. There is an exciting opportunity for an Individual Needs Assistant to be appointed to work with a child who has an ASC profile and global delay.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

  • A commitment to inclusion within a mainstream setting.
  • Knowledge of, and the ability to implement a range of strategies in order to keep the pupil motivated and safe.
  • The ability to follow a structured timetable and work towards specific targets with the children.
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and can build relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • A calm, patient, resilient and flexible approach.
  • previous experience of working with children.
