The Role

As a leading Housing Organisation committed to developing and delivering high-quality new homes, we're looking for a Customer Aftercare Coordinator to join our Development team, where you'll provide the very best aftercare service to our tenants in their newly built home.

As a Customer Aftercare Coordinator, you'll deliver a customer-centric and effective defects service by:

  • Coordinating customer contact received via the Defects inbox - triaging and prioritising defects.
  • Offering proactive solutions to our tenants on common new build issues.
  • Supporting tenants through the defects process by inspecting properties, taking measurements and producing images.
  • Ensuring Contractor repair call outs are organised and completed within agreed timescales.
  • Managing dissatisfied customers respectfully, sometimes in their own home.
  • Champion the delivery of high-quality homes and customer aftercare by identifying opportunities to improve customer satisfaction.

In this role you can expect to be working from our Birmingham, Bath Row office 2-3 days per week, with the remainder of your time spent undertaking inspections of new homes across the Midlands region. Due to the nature of the role, candidates must hold a valid driving license and access to a vehicle for business use to be considered.

You'll also be part of a well-respected Development team, where you'll have access to ongoing professional development through a range of learning and development opportunities.

Our ideal candidate? We're seeking a technically qualified individual who understands customer needs and is able work to their own initiative with minimum supervision. You'll also have the following skills and experience:

  • You'll have demonstrable experience of identifying and resolving construction defects in the Property or Housing sector; OR
  • You'll hold a recognised qualification in a Construction related discipline such as HNC or equivalent; AND experience of working in a front facing customer environment.
  • You'll have strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders, including Third Parties/Contractors, effectively.
  • You'll have excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to deliver multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
