As Rail Technician you'll join our Rail specialist team and help us to deliver exceptional customer experiences and live up to our values, setting an unrivalled standard for the industry. In your position as Rail Maintenance Fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of Rail equipment (both in the workshop and track-side) including compactors, jacks, OLE equipment, chain saws, rail generators, track trolleys, TSR equipment, sleeper beams, stressing equipment, track-side lighting, remote control triple wackers, Vortok safety barriers, battery rail drills, wrenches, and much more.

To succeed as a Rail Technician you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:

• Prior experience in a Maintenance Fitter role, preferably within the rail industry
• A strong commitment to Health and Safety and ideally with PTS Certification
• Able to work as part of a team, supporting colleagues
• Flexible and self-motivated, you'll be keen to embrace new training opportunities, which may on occasion require staying away from home
• Great communication skills - both verbal and written
• Customer-Focused with a commitment to delivering an excellent service
• Effective planning and organisation skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy

The role involves extensive out-of-hours working, which may include mid-week nights, weekends and bank holidays.
