Job Responsibility:
Trainee Remedial Operative
No experience within the air hygiene sector is required, but is advantageous, with the role very much suit someone wanting to work in a hands-on position. This can be a physically demanding job and could be a great match for someone who has previously worked in a facilities management, construction, mechanical engineering, or industrial cleaning role.
Part of Marlowe Environmental Services, Hydro-X Air comprises of dedicated teams of two working remotely to deliver ventilation, ductwork cleaning, fire remedials and other air hygiene services to our customers.
Location: Field Based, will be expected to travel within the region
Main Duties:
The duties will include, but are not be limited to:
- Carry out inspection of the Fire dampers in accordance with BS9999
- Installation of access doors into ventilation system in accordance with DW144
- Installation, repair of passive fire stopping systems
- Installation, repair of fire dampers including ductwork modifications
- Conduct regular inspections of the physical plant as instructed
- Follow a preventative maintenance program as instructed
- Make recommendations for major repairs to the physical plant
- Recommend the purchase of goods and equipment
- Maintain personal equipment & materials stocks inventories
- Provide written reports as required
- Ensure records are maintained
- All applicants are required to work within the guidance provided by BS 9999, RRO 2005 Order and DW144/145 and associated company documents, and guidance, to ensure that any plant worked on is tested, compliant, safe and free from risks.
- You will also be expected to undertake any other duties associated to the output of the Regional Team as required.
- The hours of work are Monday to Friday with a requirement to work overtime that will include some weekend work.
