The University of Oxford is offering a 24-month Carpentry & Joinery Apprenticeship (Architectural Joiner Level 2). As an Apprentice University Joiner, you'll join a team of highly-skilled craftsmen, working on a variety of interesting and meaningful projects across the University and its Colleges.
Location: The Malthouse, Tidmarsh Lane, Oxford OX1 1NQ
Salary:£25,331 per annum
Contract type: Apprenticeship (24 months)

What you'll be doing:- Assisting with the manufacture and fitting of high-quality joinery items using a range of woodworking machinery and tools.
- Working on-site to install joinery pieces at University buildings and Colleges.
- Learning to follow detailed safety procedures and working closely with your supervisor to carry out tasks safely and effectively.
- Gaining exposure to all aspects of architectural joinery, from setting out and machining to fabrication and finishing.
What we're looking for:- A minimum of GCSE English and Maths at grade C (4) or equivalent.
- A strong interest in carpentry and joinery, shown through school, hobbies, or work experience.
- A good attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work safely as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills and confidence in communicating with colleagues and customers.
- Physical fitness to carry out manual handling and work at heights.
