Job summary
RAF Medical Board (RAF MB) Part-Time Ministry of Defence General Practitioner (MOD GP) - A mix of medical board clinics (both virtual, face to face and travelling dependent on the case) and associated administration including triage of referrals and post appointment reports. There will be routine meetings both in house and external and opportunities for Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Responsibility for audit and quality improvement will also be part of the role.

- Taking the necessary documentary action when personnel are referred to the RAF MB in accordance with AP1269, AP1269A and the RAF MB guidelines.
- Using Defence Medical Information Capability Program (DMICP) for the recording medical employment standards awarded at RAF MB.
- The distribution of post-medical board documentation.
- Maintain personal medical documents in accordance with current regulations.
- Attend Travelling Medical Boards as and when required to do so.
- Conduct duties as Triage/President to the RAF Medical Board..
- Liaising with Air Manning (Med Casework), Unit's Executive and Senior Medical Officers as appropriate
- Conduct Quality Improvement activity as directed, to include healthcare governance and audit.
Complete additional administrative duties as directed by RAF MB to enable delivery of Safe, Patient Focused Care at the RAF MB.

- Exposure to working alongside the military and military occupational health
- Having a working knowledge of the IT systems utilised for general administrative tasks as required by Practice Manager RAF MB.
- Security clearance: SC (required within 3 months of employment)

- Registration with the UK General Medical Council (GMC), and on the GP Register.
- Holding a current License to practice.
