Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions.
Duties
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and records in accordance with accounting standards.
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
- Utilise accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage to manage financial transactions and reporting.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into variances and trends.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights that support strategic planning.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to ethical standards.
- Preparing Pay rolls, VAT and subcontractor CIS report
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance (e.g., AAT, ACCA) are preferred but not mandatory.
