Up to £30.00 per hour, depending on experience

As a Bank Nurse on the Critical Care Unit at Nuffield Health at St Bartholmew's, you'll drive the standard in patient care. You'll be required to be registered with the NMC, and also have post-registration experience within Critical Care. Our Critical Care unit comprises of 7 beds and we look after cardiac surgery, breast, and general surgical patients. We also act as an outreach service to ensure the ward are supported. Having ILS / ALS / CALS is desirable.

As a Staff Nurse - CCU / ITU, you will:

  • Be flexible, motivated, an excellent communicator and team worker

  • Join a close-knit team headed by our matron on our consultant-led ward

  • Fully understand and pay close attention to each patient's needs

  • Work directly with some of the best clinical talent around

  • Gain valuable experience of new practices, equipment and facilities

  • Collaborate with practitioners across other departments to ensure continuity in patient care

We've opened the doors to Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew's Hospital: The City of London's only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew's NHS hospital. This is our flagship center for cardiac services and will also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including: orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, genecology and urology services.

Our hospital consists of 55 beds, including 7 Specialist intensive care beds, four of the most advanced digital operating theatres and Endoscopy and minor ops theatre. With 28 consultation rooms. Cardiac catheterisation lab, Oncology Day unit and full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray.

Overtime

For clinical roles grade 9 and below, the overtime is at a standard rate of pay. For unsocial hours, you'll be paid an additional enhancement to your salary at the following rates: Nights Hours worked between 7pm and 7am on any day of the week, 30% of basic hourly rate. Weekends Hours worked between 7am and 7pm on a Saturday or Sunday, 20% of basic hourly rate. Bank Holidays Hours worked between midnight and midnight of a bank holiday, 100% of basic hourly rate.
