Graduate Quantity Surveyor Role - Develop Your Career in Infrastructure Projects
- Assist with the preparation of accurate cost estimates and budgets for Mechanical and Electrical projects.
- Support in the analysis of tender documents, project drawings, and specifications to determine project scope and requirements.
- Help maintain and update rate cards in line with market trends and company pricing strategies.
- Contribute to the drafting of client offer letters and tender submissions.
- Collaborate with internal departments (design, procurement, delivery) to compile essential data for commercial activities.
- Review supplier and subcontractor quotations to verify value and compliance.
- Provide commercial support during post-tender negotiations and project handovers.
- Assist in tracking and analysing historical cost data for continuous improvement of future bids.
- Implement Quantity Surveying principles to enhance commercial accuracy and minimise financial risk.
Required Skills and Qualifications - Entry-Level Quantity Surveying Careers
- Recently completed or soon to complete a Quantity Surveying degree or a related qualification (e.g., RICS, HNC/HND considered).
- Keen interest in the utilities, construction, mechanical and electrical sectors.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- IT literacy, especially with Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software is advantageous but not essential.
- Willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
- Understanding, or an interest in developing knowledge, of UK electricity regulations and contract frameworks (such as NEC or JCT).
