This is a once in a career opportunity to be part of the launch journey and bring the Aether brand to life! The role: The role of Aether Supervisor (Operations) is multiskilled and varied. You will oversee the Host (Operations) team to ensure the interaction with our guests from kerb to gate and gate to kerb, including check-in, baggage, security, and chauffeuring duties, collaborating with stakeholders such as control authorities, are delivered to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues, and the public. Duties include:
  • Oversee the seamless and consistent delivery of the multi-stage Aether check-in process.
  • Support the Hosts team in ensuring the processes of checking travel documents, dangerous goods and tagging hold luggage are delivered in accordance with individual airline Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Provide tactical deployment of resource to ensure continuous customer screening.
  • Understand critical time points in the customer and service partner support journey that will facilitate a seamless and punctual experience.
  • To control and prevent unauthorised access at the Aether Security Point
  • To direct and co-ordinate Aether Hosts in accordance with airport emergency procedures to protect life and property.
  • To support the Aether Shift Lead in managing and maintaining the Company's statutory responsibilities, such as Health & Safety requirements and Risk Assessments including delivering ongoing manual handling training.
  • Working with our baggage handling service partner, transporting and hand off of
  • hold luggage in accordance with individual airline Standard Operating Procedures.
  • To respond proactively to complaints from users and where appropriate investigate such complaints.
  • Escalate potential risks to service delivery in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Provide leadership, motivation and support to members of the Aether Operations team.
  • Deputise for the Aether Shift Lead when they are not available
You will also be required to carry out the duties of a Host (Operations) where required A full job description is available on request and will be issued prior to interview. Roster Mix of early and late shifts - earliest start time from 3:30am with latest shift finishing at 10:30pm. What will make you successful in the role? No previous security knowledge required as full training will be provided together with on-the-job coaching, however you do need:
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Experience of leading and managing a team
  • First class customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills - able to give clear, constructive feedback and deliver difficult messages in a sensitive and a tactful way both to individuals and teams.
  • Excellent observation skills with an attention to detail that ensures all security protocols and regulations are adhered to.
  • Excellent resource utilisation, able to anticipate problems and the needs of the customer and react quickly to any demands on the service.
  • Hold a clean & valid UK Driving Licence
  • Have colour perfect vision
  • Good Numerical and Literacy skills
  • Have resided continually in the UK for the last 3 years to be able to obtain Counter Terrorism Clearance
