It is a 64-bedded hospital all with ensuite facilities, with parent and child rooms, a 14-bed Day unit and a high dependency unit. Bank Chef - Springfield Hospital, Chelmsford Hourly rate from £10.45 The role In this role you will be an integral part of a team who are committed to delivering the highest quality food for our patients and staff. The role consists of working in our well-equipped kitchen and staff restaurant. The successful applicant will work closely with the catering team to provide a premium level of service to our patients, staff and visitors and will be involved in all aspects of service delivery including food preparation, first class presentation, restaurant service and general cooking. What you will bring:
  • Experience in a catering environment (ideally at the Chef's level)
  • Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene - Desirable (this training can be provided)
  • Experience within a healthcare environment - Desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • An ability to work independently and to manage own priorities and strict deadlines
  • Flexibility, adaptability & initiative
  • Smart appearance
