Senior Quality and Excellence Officer
Covering a National remit (Ideally based in the East of England, London, South East or South West)
£42,544.92 per annum (rising to £44,784.12 per annum after 12 months subject to performance)
37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

The role of Senior Quality Excellence Officer will include:
Manage and maintain quality team audits and the self-audit processes, using appropriate techniques, to ensure accurate assessment of service delivery and performance levels especially across SSL Young Persons Services.
Evaluate service delivery and performance of SSL services, recommending improvements to support the achievement of internal and external standards and the continuous improvement agenda, including liaising with working groups to disseminate good practice.
Develop and implement suitable professional standards in collaboration with the quality team, and make sure that all policies, processes, and legal requirements are followed to maintain compliance.
Develop and maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and wellness processes, ensuring compliance in all areas of regulated activity, including meeting the Ofsted fundamental standards for quality and safety.
Support the development of action plans, in accordance with review outcomes and good practice, to assist the Group to improve service delivery and performance.
Prepare reports and present information detailing the outcome of audits and reviews, to support decision making, business planning and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Support local teams and Registered Service Mangers to prepare for inspections to ensure compliance with relevant inspection and regulatory requirements.
Advise employees and managers on self assessment processes to enable compliance with inspection and regulatory requirements. Develop good practice groups and processes to horizon scan the sector to enhance service delivery.
To monitor and collate management information to support continuous improvement, mitigate risk and develop the strategic planning for the service.
Skills and Experience:
Recent experience of undertaking a similar role in young people or children services
Knowledge of current housing legislation and Ofsted Supported Housing Regulatory Framework
Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work loads
Proven experience of managing projects with strong project management skills
Proven experience of assessing quality of service delivery/processes
Knowledge of Ofsted inspection and compliance requirements
Knowledge of the Children Act & Children's Homes Regulations, Child Protection and Safeguarding.
NVQ or Diploma Level 5 in Leadership & Management or equivalent (Ideally)
Proven experience of writing complex reports
Proven experience of working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and supporting services to develop good practice principles
A driving licence is an essential requirement for this role as you will be required to travel frequently to our services. This is a national role, and the role will be homebased.
