Based at our office in Dungannon, you will support the Procurement Team within the Building and Civils division of the Company. The Role
Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in identifying and selecting suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
- Maintain and update procurement records, including supplier contracts, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and clarify order details.
- Track inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of materials for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for materials and services.
- Support the procurement team in implementing cost control strategies.
- Maintain accurate and organized records for auditing and reporting purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of procurement reports and analyses for management review.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, policies and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss procurement strategies, project updates, and supplier performance.
The Person
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload using own initiative to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced office environment with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing procurement challenges
The Experience
- 3+ years' experience in a high-volume procurement or administrative role.
- A minimum of 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) including Maths and English grade C or above.
- HNC or above in a construction related discipline would be desirable.
- Experience within construction industry is desirable but not essential.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages with particular emphasis on Outlook and Excel.
