Job Title: Administrative Receptionist

Location: Upton Hospital SL1 2BJ

Hours: 37,5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 17:00

Are you looking to make a difference in a dynamic healthcare setting? Fir Tree House at Upton Hospital is seeking a dedicated Admin Support for our Community Paediatrics Ward. If you have NHS experience and are familiar with Rio, we want to hear from you!

What you'll be responsible for:

· Serve as the initial point of contact at reception, main phone line, and service email inbox.

· Maintain excellent communication across the service, liaising with external agencies, stakeholders, and clients.

· Support clinicians with room bookings, equipment requests, IT issues, and printing.

· Provide comprehensive administrative support, including managing mail, operating office equipment, and maintaining office systems.

· Book clinical rooms for planned and short-notice clinics, ensuring a responsive service.

· Monitor and report maintenance and cleaning issues to ensure a clean and safe environment.

· Assist in managing the maintenance of medical devices and coordinate engineer visits as necessary.

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

· Previous NHS experience and familiarity with Rio are desirable.

· Excellent communication and organisational skills.

· Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively.

· Proficiency in using office equipment and IT systems.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
