Job Title Vice Chief London Location London Facility Central London - Victoria Institute Executive Administration-Cleveland Clinic London Job Code UK0704 Job Summary Reporting to the Market Chief of Staff and indirectly to the Institute Chief, serves as the doctor leader of an Institute across a market, spanning responsibility across all departments within an Institute. Responsible for doctor practice management within that market and serves as key liaison between market leadership and Institute leadership teams. Job Details Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the performance of an Institute across the market. Accountable to Institute-based performance goals within a market for safety, quality and patient experience and patients served.
  • Serves as the operational leader for provider groups across departments.
  • Acts as the leadership connection between teams across markets, Institutes, divisions and departments to meet strategic goals and key initiatives for that Institute and market.
  • Provides indirect supervision and input into annual performance reviews for doctors in the market.
Education:
  • Full active General Medical Council (GMC) Registration
  • Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
  • Fellowship Royal College (FRC) or equivalent; specific area dependent on clinical specialty
  • Inclusion on the specialist register/admission within six months
Languages:
  • Oral and written communication in English
Certifications:
  • License to practice medicine in the country in which the doctor is practicing medicine and hospital credentials/privileges at practicing hospital(s)
  • Credentialed as a consultant/specialist in respective area of expertise in country where practicing
Complexity of Work:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate to a large, diverse audience

Work Experience:
  • Relevant leadership experience in a matrixed health care environment, preferably in a large medical practice or hospital setting

  • Ability to communicate effectively and exchange accurate information
  • Ability to travel throughout the health system both domestically and internationally
