Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Communications and Engagement Lead to join our team. This pivotal role will lead our communications strategy, ensuring that our internal and external messaging aligns with Thalia's values and strategic objectives. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing our brand, driving engagement across all stakeholders, and promoting our commitment to innovation and sustainability. Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Communications: Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with Thalia's mission and business goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Drive engagement initiatives with internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear, consistent messaging.
  • Content Creation: Oversee the creation of compelling content for various platforms, including press releases, social media, internal communications, and marketing materials.
  • Brand Management: Enhance and protect Thalia's brand reputation through effective communication and media relations.
  • Internal Communications: Develop and implement internal communication plans to keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with company objectives.
  • Event Management: Plan and execute corporate events, webinars, and other engagement activities that promote Thalia's initiatives and values.
  • Crisis Communication: Manage crisis communication plans and ensure timely, effective responses to any issues that may impact Thalia's reputation.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on communication and engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives.
The Person
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar communications role, preferably within the waste management or environmental sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities.
  • Proficiency in using various communication tools and platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Innovative and creative mindset.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
