Your responsibilities and tasks:
  • Responsible for the development of Heating & Refrigeration Technologies (HRT) including new market entries and identifies opportunities for organic growth.

  • Responsible for drawing up an annual plan of the division within R&C, draws up budget proposals, discusses them with Director R&C and adjusts them if necessary.

  • Understands the full potential of the value chain of the product and service offering and knows how to use it.

  • Stimulates sales management and account management with the help of CRM.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the Sales & Service plans in the United Kingdom in close cooperation with the division, both BUs: Heating & Refrigeration Solutions (BU HRS) and Compression Technologies (BU CT) allocates resources, gives priority to initiatives to increase GEA's profitability.

  • Understands the commercial and technical needs of customers and skillfully brings them back to the division; respective BU and knows how to translate them into business.

  • Understand how to deal with two BUs which deal with End-Users as well as Contractors.

  • Ensures that transactions with customers are profitable and sustainable and that risks and cash are well managed. Ensures that good and clear contractual negotiations are conducted.

  • Ensure that all of GEA's HRT activities comply with GEA's compliance guidelines.

  • Responsible for the application of and compliance with (legal) regulations, procedures and (house) rules, both internally and externally, and for ensuring their proper application.

  • Directly or indirectly supervises, develops the expertise of and coaches the employees within the entity and ensures optimal staffing in terms of quality and quantity.

  • Responsible for compliance with and compliance with (legal) regulations, procedures and (house) rules, both internally and externally, and for ensuring that they are correctly applied.

  • Develops contacts with internal and external customers, relations and suppliers, maintains them and manages expectations.

  • Initiates and defines projects, manages multidisciplinary (improvement) projects.

  • Responsible for compliance and compliant to (legal) regulations, procedures and (house) rules, both internally and externally, and ensuring that they are correctly applied.

  • Discussion partner for the HR BP's

  • Chairman of the Management team

  • Active contributor to the GEA HRT Global strategy and its execution. Member of the GEA UK Management Team

Your profile and qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or (food) processing and/or Business Administration

  • General Management professional incl. P&L responsibility

  • Significant experience in steering sales and service organizations

  • Experience in growth and change processes and performance transformations in traditional sales organizations to best in class sales management.

  • Advanced understanding in business development, customer relationship management, market development in a national customer base

  • Familiarity of working in a manufacturing company

  • Familiarity with Heating & Refrigeration processes related to Food production, storage and process AND/OR familiar with Heating applications.

  • English speaking and writing, and preferably further languages

  • Entrepreneurial skills (clear drive to sell and strong customer orientation & understanding, ability to gain high levels of trust from customers)

  • Leadership competencies (ability to lead diverse teams, strong top-line and target orientation with a strong people orientation)

  • Interpersonal skills (power of persuasion, conviction, well-argued reasoning, proven to maintain & build up relationships and networks with decision makers and stakeholders)

  • Actively shaping a team on the basis of their ability, track record and potential, evaluating as well as coaching and mentoring to develop higher levels of capability

  • Dealing in a timely manner with performance issues
