Job Responsibility:
Operating in a small high performance, high impact team, the Project Manager is responsible for owning the Snowflake Distribution Development team designing, defining and implementing technical solutions from Solution Architecture Designs (SADs) through to production support. This role requires a high degree of technical competence and ability to contribute from the beginning. This role will be responsible for supporting Snowflake Distribution team in delivering best of breed technical practice based around core toolset of Snowflake, Marketplace, ELT, CSP Administration and other disparate tooling according to demand. Additionally, this role will require team leadership of both permanent staff and external resources. This vacancy is available at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) Paternoster Square. Responsibilities
- Work with Solution Architect to ensure System Architecture Designs (SAD) meet all Snowflake Distribution requirements including security, infrastructure, product and other internal requirements
- Via internal governance frameworks, assist with SAD approvals, then deliver approved capability using agreed tooling and techniques into Snowflake Distribution delivery venues.
- Assign team members, handle timelines, deliveries and functionality. Maintain the delivery plan, provide weekly updates into Clarity, liaise with Operations team for release management.
- Maintain all project documentation, JIRA, Asana and other tooling in conformance with LSEG requirements
- See opportunities for Snowflake Distribution venues to reduce risk, reduce cost, improve business efficiency and deliver business benefit
- Contribute to the Snowflake Centre for Enablement delivering:
- Identify and promote standard process
- Advice, guidance and assistance to disparate teams seeking to re-use developed patterns
- Contribute to evolving LSEG policies and standards
- Ensure that all processes and documentation are adequate and effective to meet support and audit requirements
- Provide frequent status reporting to Management
- Enhance our people and showcase Snowflake Distribution capability to colleagues
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience, preferably in financial services.
- Previous management experience, working in a matrix environment.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of data through previous hands-on design, development and implementation of IT systems.
- Proficient in abstracting complex, detailed orientated messages into format appropriate to target audience
- Proactive, determined and resilient, with a positive attitude.
- Extensive and demonstrable problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong negotiation / influencing skills able to overcome resistance and reach consensus and compromise in order to attain the required objective.
