Digital Merchandising & Trading Manager

The Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and commercially savvy Digital Merchandising and Trading Manager to oversee our websites. This role is crucial in defining our merchandising strategy and understanding commercial metrics. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve our ambitious commercial objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

• Merchandising Strategy: Develop and implement merchandising strategies with the Senior Digital Merchandising Executive to optimize product ranges and customer journeys, aiming to meet commercial targets.
• Team Leadership: Manage a team of Digital Merchandisers and Product Executives, including workload management, coaching, conducting 1:1s, and performance reviews.
• Performance Analysis: Regularly analyze website performance to identify opportunities for improving product conversion rates and user experience, driving merchandising excellence.
• Reporting: Utilize analytics and reporting tools to generate detailed product performance reports. Collaborate with the digital marketing team to develop actionable insights for sales improvement and growth opportunities.
• Ecommerce Metrics: Take ownership of key ecommerce performance indicators such as conversion rates, bounce rates, and average order values.
• Digital Trading Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert in digital trading and merchandising, contributing to cross-functional digital projects.
• Project Support: Support the team in large projects and on-site activities as needed. Assist with website testing following development changes or releases, and promptly address any issues.
• Future Development: Play a key role in the future development of the website, helping to define requirements.

The Person:

• Experience: Extensive experience in digital merchandising and trading, including team management and coaching.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with other departments.
• Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Collaboration: Willingness to engage in day-to-day team tasks when required.
• Presentation: Strong presentation skills with the ability to influence colleagues.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to derive actionable insights from large datasets to inform commercial decisions.
• Technical Knowledge: Experience in creating and implementing merchandising and search strategies. Proficiency with CMS platforms, merchandising tools, PIMs, and GA4. Familiarity with PPC and SEO.
