Job Responsibility:
We are recruiting an MEP Manager to join our client's team, based out of their HQ in St.Paul's.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all MEP technical aspects of our projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, standards, and client requirements. The MEP Manager will collaborate closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership: Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to completion.
Design Coordination: Coordinate with design teams, architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure design solutions meet project requirements, comply with regulations, and are delivered on schedule.
Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs, without compromising quality or functionality.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets specified standards and regulatory requirements.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards. Ensure projects comply with all applicable regulations and obtain necessary permits and approvals.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks that may impact project delivery, budget, or quality.
Subcontractor Management: Manage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for technical queries from clients. Provide regular project updates and address client concerns related to technical aspects of the project.
Budget and Schedule Management: Collaborate with project management teams to develop and monitor project budgets and schedules. Identify potential deviations and implement corrective actions as needed.
Team Development: Mentor and develop technical staff. Provide training and support to enhance technical skills and knowledge within the organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a technical leadership role within the construction industry, preferably with a Design & Build contractor.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
- Strong understanding of relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED AP) are a plus.
