About the role
This is a varied and interesting role to support the Compliance Team helping to maintain and build public, customer and regulatory confidence in OCR's assessments and processes by expertly triaging and leading the administrative processing of malpractice cases, appeals, complaints and other compliance processes. This is to ensure we provide high levels of customer service, maintain the integrity of our qualifications and remain compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements.
This role will give you a unique insight into all aspects of OCR's work. As a Compliance Officer you will:
- manage the high volumes of process related communication with our customers and other teams in OCR including managing mailboxes and taking phone calls.
- provide advice and guidance to customers and internal stakeholders on malpractice, appeals, complaints and other compliance cases.
- appropriately prioritise, escalate and assign ownership of cases to OCR senior managers and officers.
- ensure deadlines and turnaround times are met
- ensure key records and documentation are up to date for Business Continuity
- train and provide on-going support to OCR and temporary staff working on or with involvement in malpractice, appeals and complaints processes.
- assist in the processing of appeals.
- log safeguarding cases and support the referral of decisions to Designated Safeguarding Leads in centres.
About you
As our next Compliance Officer, you are an excellent communicator with a can-do attitude. You are highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple tasks. In addition, you enjoy working both independently and in a team.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- great communication skills with excellent spelling, punctuation, and grammar
- the ability to quickly learn new software and systems and experience of working with all Microsoft Office programmes
- the ability to manage yourself and your workload effectively whilst working accurately to meet tight deadlines.
- a strong customer focus and be enthusiastic about improving OCR's customer service.
- resilience, the work of the team involves dealing with some sensitive cases
- experience of working in a regulated environment
- experience working in a busy office of a large organisation.
