Job Responsibility:
An exciting opportunity is available to join the C6 Pesu team as a ward receptionist. We pride ourselves on being a very good team, professional, friendly and approachable. It can be a busy ward which requires good organisational skills along with excellent communication skills and the ward receptionist will have a pivotal role in this. You should have excellent team working skills and you must be reliable and flexible to meet the needs and demands of the service Assisting to maintain the smooth running of the ward whilst ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times. Answering the telephone and ensuring that we are directing the relatives to the appropriate health care professional in order to deal with queries. Assisting with computer systems e.g. admitting patients, transferring patients and discharging patients, allocating consultants and assisting to keep the patient date of discharge up to date, so that the work station is always current. Organisation of patients notes and filing and ensuring patient boards are up to date. Assisting to coordinate clinic bookings and also day cases and ensure they are added to the system. Ensuring stock levels for the office and the ward paperwork are at an appropriate level. Assisting with the patient journey and also the discharge process e.g. liaising with nursing staff, doctors and other members of the multi disciplinary team. Booking transport, arranging appointments, liaising with other departments as appropriate. Our UHB values and behaviours guide the way we work and interact with others. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
