Job Responsibility:

The Kindness Foundation is a charity founded by Kurt Geiger, dedicated to giving young people, no matter their background, opportunities, support, and the resources needed to enter the creative industry.

The Business by Design Academy will be our flagship programme for the Kindness Foundation which we aim to launch at the end of 2023.

Our aim and mission are to provide free resources, support, mentorship, webinars, events, work experience for underrepresented young people to enter the creative industries. The program will be accessible to all online and at our head office and through local physical activations.

In this role, you will be assisting the Academy team in leading the Business by Design flagship programme in its entirety including working closely with the students and internal Kurt Geiger teams.

General:

  • Responding to Business by Design enquiries via calls, emails, and social media
  • Directing enquiries to appropriate staff members
  • Logging all course-related enquiries on relevant databases
  • Ensuring proper tracking of training monitoring and evaluation data
  • Maintain contact databases and records
  • Managing Academy emails
  • Coordinate and diarise meetings

Training Programme Management:

  • Uploading files and materials onto course platforms
  • Assisting with training-related enquiries and directing them to the relevant staff

Project Support:

  • Providing administrative assistance to Business by Design projects as needed
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of events

Communication:

  • Cultivating relationships with young professionals and stakeholders
  • Distributing resources and communications to stakeholders
  • Assist with drafting and dispatching BBD correspondence

Financial Management:

  • Tracking and inputting Business by Design finances into the database
  • Manage Academy resources and supplies, including purchase orders and invoices.

General Duties:

  • Attend regular line management meetings and team meetings
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, safeguarding, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion policies
  • Handle and process incoming post
  • Format Business by Design Policies in line with brand guidelines.
  • Safeguard young people and adults at risk
  • Proactive, hard-working & excellent at building relationships
  • Advanced Excel skills (advantageous)
  • Hard-working, proactive and self-motivated
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload

Requirements

  • You are passionate about helping young people and creating social impact for young people from underrepresented backgrounds to have opportunities to enter the creative industry and you want to make a change in their lives.
  • You love interacting and working directly with young people (16 - 25 y/o)
  • Good communication skills
  • You will have experience and confident in administrative duties.
  • You are very organised and have good time management skills.
  • You are goal-oriented - hitting targets and milestones on time.
  • You are familiar with Microsoft Office 365 and Google Drive
