Salary: £42,224 plus company car and excellent benefits

39 Hours per week

Shift Patten: Typically, Monday to Friday; however, flexibility required to meet different shift patterns and weekends for project work

Home Based: Travel throughout the UK required as part of this role

As Supply Chain Operations Specialist you'll be working closely with the Warehouse and Sales Teams Managers, to identify and deliver change programmes with a view to improve efficiencies to increase customer satisfaction.

Reporting to the Continuous Improvement & Projects Manager, you will be focusing on the delivery of key initiatives and projects across our national depot network. Supply Chain Operations Specialist is responsible for attending project scoping and planning sessions. By gathering and analysing information and data we can then ensure solutions are delivered both effectively and efficiently keeping mindful of cost. You will be focused on ensuring that projects are planned and implemented seamlessly with end-user acceptance testing carried out. Should there be challenges along the way, you'll then conduct analysis to understand and resolve the issues. You'll be naturally curious and confident to challenge current processes and ways of working with a view of seeking to make improvements on our customer experience. You will be able to see the ‘big picture' to recognise cause and effect and identifying patterns or trends. As a cross functional team member, you'll seek a collaborative approach to be able to influence at a variety of levels with strong interpersonal and communication skills keeping results focused - managing setbacks appropriately and adapting your priorities for changing demands.

You'll coordinate your own diary and have the flexibility of working from home, but expected to be available during critical operational hours which will predominantly be Monday - Friday however a level of flexibility is required for overnight stays and to cover a weekend for project implementation work.

To join us as the Supply Chain Operations Specialist, you will have a solid knowledge of the end-to-end supply chain and operational experience in a fast-paced warehousing operation - ideally within the FMCG sector. You will have experience of implementing continuous improvement projects and have a knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and tools. You will have strong IT knowledge and be comfortable with using Microsoft Office packages including MS Project and MS Visio and knowledge of SAP or D365 ERP systems would be an advantage.
