We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational individual to support the delivery of our Games Design and Concept Art course.
The successful candidate will have contemporary experience of working as a digital game's designer. They will plan, prepare, teach/deliver modules, and support learning across various digital and games programs. They would also provide learner groups guidance, feedback, support, and tutorship. The aim will be to deliver and assess technical skills in Graphics and lens, text, experience, sound, moving image, and character and environment.
As well as qualified teachers, this role would suit a new graduate of Games Development, Games Art, or Games Design, or someone who is working in industry and perhaps looking to give back and change direction - we would give you all the support and professional development to enable you to excel.
Although the successful candidate will primarily focus on the coordination and teaching of the programme, they will also have a secondary focus on fostering external links with employers and the Games industry to make sure that what we do is current and cutting edge.
The successful candidate(s) will have experience with delivering teaching and learning of the highest quality. They will embrace a teaching environment that values creativity, technology, and forward-thinking methodologies. They will build strong, positive working relationships with a supportive and collaborative team of educators and professional services who share the common goal of providing a meaningful educational experience.
They will have excellent organisational and time-management skills and be able to prioritise work effectively to meet objectives and deadlines. They will be comfortable with and proactively adapt to rapid changes in educational trends within the sector. They will be able to plan and prioritise their own schedule of work to achieve objectives, have strong IT skills and be happy to be part of a close-knit team with shared objectives.
The successful candidates will themselves be educated to at least Level 4 and capable of sharing their knowledge with our students in an engaging and informative manner that benefits their passion for the subject.

What we're looking for
Qualifications
EssentialDesirable A recognised teaching qualification or be willing to obtain within 2 years of appointment A Bachelor/Master's degree in an digital design discipline Level 4 qualification (BTEC HNC, NVQ) in in an appropriate discipline or be willing to work towards it Assessor or IQA qualifications to support curriculum and apprenticeship programmes or be willing to obtain within 2 years English, Maths, and Science at Level 2 (GCSE A* to C or equivalent)
Experience
EssentialDesirable Understanding of Digital games industry and potential specialisms that you can inspire students to progress into Recent experience of teaching in an FE/HE environment Recent experience with some industry specialisms Experience of working in an industrial/commercial Gamming environment Experience in Blender or Unreal engines RPG Maker Adobe or alternatives
Knowledge & Skills
EssentialDesirable Effective communication and presentation skills Capable use of IT to promote teaching and monitor learning Effective work management skills that can be translated into a classroom Ability to provide high quality pastoral care to learners Good general knowledge of health and safety at work in an educational and the relevant vocational environment Comprehensive current technical knowledge and skills commensurate with the required vocational delivery
