Job Responsibility:

£15.00/hr -- freelance basis -- 14 hours per month inital commitment -- immediate start

Stafford & Henshaw are a stationery retail startup seeking a visual communicator with prior copywriting experience to help our small Nottingham-based team on a casual basis, contributing to our visual research and conceptualising our brand while delivering creative assets on time.

The ideal candidate is an open-minded and opportunistic creative driven by a love of typography, language, and history. They will have a preference for high-quality stationery products and a reverence for great design.

An understanding of the retail season cycle, NRS demographic categories, and contemporary visual culture is essential. This would suit a freelance creative between projects seeking an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a startup in its earliest stages.

Qualifications are desireable but not required, as we believe what you can do and what you have achieved bears more relevance to this role than formal qualification.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualise our brand from our written research.
• Develop on-trend seasonal lookbook to inform our procurement decisions.
• Create visual assets for our brand - stationery, logo files, colour palettes
• Facilitate creative ideation for the corporate identity.

Work location

We will expect you to complete your work remotely with your own equipment and software, and deliver assets by email or to the executive team in-person if required. Our marketing plan will be localised to the East Midlands therefore knowledge of the area is desireable.

Occasionally we may need to use a meeting room in Sneinton Market in order to complete a certain task (for example, to familiarise yourself with our products in person) but otherwise the role is entirely remote.
