The role:
Data Management Executive
A fantastic opportunity has arisen at British Airways for a Data Management Executive to support and drive the implementation for Data Governance across BA and BA's Data Applications.
What you'll do:
- Monitor and manage the security of data applications to meet legal, compliance and security requirements
- Define and drive Data Governance practices across BA and BA's Data Applications
- Work with Data Governance teams, Cyber and DPO to ensure clear ownership of data and applications to support the appropriate assurance, provision of access and data security and determine appropriate policy procedures and security training for the BA's Data Applications, users and team
- Work closely with the business and Data Owners to understand the data they use: quality of the data/issues, definitions and documentation
- Ensure all system documents are accurate and up to date with current security practices and audit information
- Provision and management of user access to BA's Data Applications and ensure the business can access the data they need in a timely way
- Actively work with users and Data Owners to ensure access to Data Applications is appropriate and relevant for their requirements Ensure all audits are completed in a timely way
- Creation of reporting and ad-hoc analysis to help Data Leadership Team and Data Owners to make decisions relating to BA's Data

Your experience:
Numeric degree (desirable)
Experience of access management of systems
Experience of security audit & control
Experience and knowledge of data governance practice
Basic SQL skills - enough to do basic data testing and / or quality checks
Knowledge of leading reporting and data analysis tools: Tableau, BO, Excel etc. - desired
