What you will do:

An apprenticeship with us will see you building new skills, while applying your knowledge to real-world live projects. There will be plenty of opportunities to explore your potential and you'll enjoy full support from the team. You will be required to ensure that you adhere to safe working practices and also be able to take instructions and act upon them in a prompt and professional manner.

  • This is a unique role where you will get experience of a technical and office based role. You will play a key role in the logistics team as well as learn engineering skills.
  • You'll have the exciting task of purchasing materials for our product manufacturing.
  • Play a crucial role in monitoring our inventory storage levels.
  • Engage in a variety of tasks in our warehouse environment, from moving and packaging to stock-taking.
  • You will learn skills such as soldering, how to assist with refurbishments in our electrical detection team.
  • You'll contribute to the smooth operation of our warehouse and help in increasing its efficiency.
  • You'll learn how to place purchase orders and maintain order confirmations for raw materials and services.
  • Ensure all our goods are handled and stored in compliance with the highest safety and regulatory standards.
  • Play a central role in shipping and transporting our products worldwide.
  • You'll have the opportunity to liaise with our internal and external customers, providing them with top-notch customer service.
  • Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll receive close mentorship and formal training at our designated training college, setting you up for a successful career.

How you will do it:

  • On-the-Job Work Experience: You'll spend significant time putting into practice skills learned at college, giving you the opportunity to learn by doing as you progress through your apprenticeship.
  • Collaboration with Qualified Mentors: Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll work closely with qualified Johnson Controls employees who will serve as mentors, guiding you in developing your skills. This collaborative environment ensures that you receive the support and guidance needed to succeed in your role.

Qualifications:

  • You will be enrolled on a two year level 2 Supply Chain warehouse operative qualification delivered by our training partners.
  • Travel and Accommodation: If you're required to stay away from home for college or work-related purposes, the company will cover the costs of travel, accommodation, and meals. This ensures that you can focus on your education and training without financial burden.

Requirements for the role:

  • GCSE or equivalent in English (Grade 5)
  • GCSE or equivalent in Math's (Grade 5)
  • Full drivers license is essential.

What happens next?
