As our esteemed Kanga Forest programme continues to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and passionate Forest School Lead to guide our innovative outdoor learning initiatives across North and West Yorkshire.

About the Role:

As the Forest School Lead, you will be at the forefront of our outdoor education curriculum, designing and implementing engaging, educational, and safe outdoor activities that promote child-centred learning and development. This position offers the opportunity to lead our school-based programme and to develop our popular holiday clubs and stay-and-play clubs, making a lasting impact on our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deliver, and oversee the implementation of the Kanga Forest curriculum across multiple locations.
  • Lead and expand our holiday clubs and stay-and-play clubs.
  • Facilitate outdoor learning experiences that promote children's holistic development.
  • Train and mentor staff in forest school practices and child safety.
  • Collaborate with other educators to integrate outdoor learning with the broader curriculum.
  • Manage resources and maintain the outdoor learning environment.
  • Engage with parents and the community to promote the benefits of outdoor learning.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must hold at least a Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification.
  • Outdoor first aid qualification.
  • Clean criminal record.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster a team environment.
  • Driven and capable of working independently.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Additional qualifications in sports.
  • Safeguarding qualification.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A passion for education and a firm belief in the benefits of outdoor learning.
  • Experience leading outdoor education programmes or similar, ideally with a geographical focus on North and West Yorkshire.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire children and adults alike with an enthusiasm for nature and learning.

Salary and Benefits:
