If the answer is yes then we would love to welcome you to our team as an Apprentice Early Years Educator based within The Nest Nursery located in IP2.

The nursery cater for children aged 0-5 years and is operated under the Bows and Arrows umbrella. We are a not-for-profit charity and therefore, all funds are put back into the nurseries to ensure the best outcomes for the children that attend our settings.

The role & qualification....

As an apprentice, you will work towards a qualification in early years via our learning provider, with tasks & assignments set remotely by your dedicated Tutor who will often arrange to visit you in setting and observe you in the workplace.

You will not only learn the theory behind child development stages but you will also be supported & working alongside a knowledgeable and friendly team (and not forgetting the children that bring lots of fun to your working day!) who will help you put your theory into practice.

In setting you can expect to be assisting children in their learning, this could be setting up activities, singing, or jumping in puddles (bring your wellie boots!) along with allowing children the freedom to develop their independence.

Working Hours: 38 hours per week, TERM TIME ONLY, working shifts that may start at 8:00am or finish at 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. Shifts are planned & communicated to you in advance.

Qualification upon completion: Level 2 Early Years Educator qualification, with the support of tutors at YMCA Training, with possible opportunities to staff and qualify in Level 3.

Contract Length: Fixed term for 1 year.
